Playing dress up has to be one of the best perks of being a girl, and for me it’s been something I’ve loved doing since I was old enough to dress myself in those princess costumes you could buy from The Disney Shop. Fast forward a couple of decades and I’m still just as excited about the whole experience, although I’ve traded in those princess outfits with the puffy cap sleeves to something a little more grown up, and my latest obsession with Sabo Skirt’s Formal Collection has taken over.
For those of you who haven’t heard of them, Sabo Skirt is one of the hottest brands to come out of Australia, and for those of you who monitor the many #fitspo accounts on Instagram you’ll immediately recognise some of Sabo Skirt’s models. While I want pretty much every item of clothing on their gorgeous website, their recent Formal Collection has really set the bar high for me when it comes to finding beautiful dresses, and their Redonsa dress (shown in the images above) is my favourite from the range.
The stretch fabric offers a comfortable fit, is completely true to size (I’m wearing the Small here) and I love the striking white contrasted by black panelling which really accentuates the key details of the dress — the extreme plunge neckline, low back, centre split. The midi length really helps to elongate the features of the dress too. It’s my new favourite addition to my wardrobe.
